Hi,
I found a WLP013 English Ale yeast(White Labs) at the back of my fridge, that I had forgot about.
Is this O.K.to use,or should I just chuck it? it?

Thanks in advice.

Is that not London ale yeast?

I've recovered quite a few tubes that are long out of date, like IL says make a starter. If you decide to chuck it... send it to me instead :=P

Yes it is a London ale yeast.
I will make up a starter as you both suggest.
Many thanks for your help IL and M.
Cheers.

Last sunday I brewed a coffee stout using a WLP013 dated best by from early feb. '08.
I did a one quart starter the week before and had signs of fermentation four hours after pitching the yeast.
I'm just here for the beer.
