Hi all
I made a two liters starter with WLP002 last Friday, with the intent of brewing to day. But I offered a friend to help move into his new house. Now I am plain to brew next Tuesday and am not sure what to do with the starter. Here are my options
A) Leave as is and on Tuesday pour of the supernatant and pitch the yeast directly into the wort.
B) Tomorrow night pour of supernatant and transfer yeast to a storage vessel and keep refrigerated until Tuesday.
C) Tomorrow night pour of supernatant and refrigerated part of the yeast, the other part is used to make up a new starter.
Being a little lazy I would prefer option A or B, but any advice would be appreciated
Thanks

Stick it in the fridge, then on brew day pour off the supernatant, add some wort taken mid boil and cooled, then while the wort is chilling the yeast will wake up and get into action . . . . Daabs flying starter works with live yeast as well . . . . I've been doing this for 10 years or more with no problems
WLP002 seams to be a good flocculator, so I will give it till tomorrow nite to make sure its finished fermenting and the refrigerate itTJB wrote:Ideally if you cool it the yeast will settle out faster, its a problem I'll have soon as I have a 5L starter to settle out and get in the fridge

I think one liter bottle on top of the other yeast in the fridge might be the limits of my luck

Thanks again TJB
