I'll look forward to your comments Delboy.

I haven't brewed a bitter in ages and i've got a hankering for some. Leaning towards TV3 at the moment. Or I might just go for the tried and tested WL English.

Well, yes, but people in the UK who get stuff from Leyland anyway could get one in with the rest of their order cheaper than going to Brewlab direct (albeit only by a penny).

Look after the pennys and the pounds will look after themselves :D

On a pedantic note though Jim, N. Ireland is part of the UK its great britain that we aren't part of hence why its the united kingdom of great britian and Northern Ireland. So this saving of a penny would be useful for UK mainlanders only :-P

Have just saved the BrewLABS yeast information on strains as a PDF as they don't list it on their site (but will send it on request) considering how good these yeasts are I can't understand why information on the is so obfuscated.

Looking at this thread with interest :D

I have only used English WLP0002 liquid yeast to date and although very nice, I quite fancy trying something else!

Looking at these yeasts, i can now see the burton yeast with its sulpher notes matching Pedigree and Bass draught. I will have to have a go with that one as its my local brew back in the UK (Uttoxeter)

Can anyone coment on why they dont comment on esterablity for these midland strains? No info of antenuation either.

Also, how would a home brewer make a wort high mineral....or for that matter, low mineral?

ta chaps
