Anyone got any idea what taste this yeast will impart on a brew.

I have a packet and I don't really know why, but I'm clean out of S-04, want to get a brew going over the weekend but H&G don't re-open till Monday.

I am down on most things so I will doing a rather large restocking of the magic happy cupboard. :D

Cheers for that Vossy, from what I can gather it seems that it's a general purpose yeast although suited to Dubbels etc, so I think I'll pitch it and see what happens....

I've heard it's fine for pale ales, apparently it has no Belgian character at all.

ah well, if it's good for pale ales then thats ok as I haven't got much else in the cupboard apart from a bit crystal and a few brews worth of pale.

I used it in a dark Belgian ale, I didn’t think it had much of a Belgian character

Looks like I'm stuck with WhiteLabs yeasts and starters for Belgians then. :(
