Anyone made an AG Wherry clone, if so what yeast do you recommend? I got the following recipe from here (I believe).
23L
MO Pale Malt 90%
Amber Malt 5.5%
Crystal Malt 5.5%
EKG (90min) 12%
Progress (90min) 33%
EKG (15min) 33%
Chinook (FO) 22%
I was thinking of either a WLP005 British Ale yeast or a Nottingham or failing that a trusty old S04.
Does anyone know what Woodfordes actually use or a close approximation?

Re: Yeast for AG Wherry?
Wherry is pretty clean, dry, and hop-focused, seldom described as particularly fruity, so I would think Nottingham would be ideal for a homebrewed version.

Hi Seymour, it's been a long time since I've been on this forum but got the notice so thought I'd reply.
I actually ended up using Muntons Premium Gold and it tasted great. TBH I (and others who tried it) thought it was 'almost' a clone of the original we tasted on tap in Norfolk.

Good choice, I think that's a perfectly fine yeast that's often underappreciated. Thanks for the update!
