USED THIS YEAST FOR THE 1ST TIME AT THE END OF FERMENTATION THE WORT WAS CLEAR BUT THERE WAS A HUGE AMOUNT OF LITTLE BITS FLOATING AROUND IN THE WORT ANYBODY GOT ANT IDEA WHAT THIS IS.
Possibly...though maybe not little bits...what copper finings did you use
I posted on this very same subject not so long ago (I'll find the picture)

Looks like someones been trying to feed the ducks
If you used protafloc like me, the bits are quite common, however I have also experienced the same bits with Irish moss
When you come to rack off, the yeast will form what I called grape type bunches at the bottom of the fv which makes it really hard to rack off....so to speak...

Re: SAFALE 04
Flocculation don’t always mean the yeast will precipitate out, the will bunch together and then precipitate, yours most likely has not fully precipitated out, give it another and or do a secondaryshimsham wrote:VERY USEFUL INFORMATION, IN OTHER WORDS NO ONE KNOWS.CHEERS
By the way you’re still shouting! (CAPS)
Re: SAFALE 04
If you provide a picture or description of the "bits" it will be easier to say what they might be and whether it's normal.shimsham wrote:VERY USEFUL INFORMATION, IN OTHER WORDS NO ONE KNOWS.CHEERS
I usually end up with tiny bits of brown stuff on top of my beer but nothing like Vossy's picture. I consider this normal. Is that what you are seeing or is it more like Vossy's picture?
