I agree with DaaB, I wouldn't leave beer fermenting outside - yeast need a constant temperature to perform well. Bring it inside! 8)

Yeast When does it start???

Post by sprintbrew02 » Fri Oct 12, 2007 6:40 pm

I worked on my first kit today, a Muntons Yorkshire Bitter. Can you tell me when I should see some movement of the yeast, like bubles etc... It is 18:34 now, (as i write this), I put the yeast at 13:40.

Am I being impatient?

Also, if it does not do anything can I put another sachet of yeast and when do I make that decision?

Thanks

Hey,

Thanks. I came home at about 22:15 and heard some bubling, so all must be ok then.

Thanks

Ted
