
I had a few anxious hours for a while, but I needed to be more patient, after all the Whitelabs tube was Dated Best Before 17 July

I guess I'm being a tight git really as the wort didn't cost anything as its 'canned' from the dregs of previous batches, but the Servomyces and yeast nutrient would have been a disappointment.
So 5L starter underway, with continuous aeration and stirring, should have plenty of happy yeasties to pitch on Sunday . . . I just hope I get the chance to crash cool it and let it settle, so that I can pitch fresh cooled wort during the boil, and oxygenate (Yes with real O2!) Its planned for a 1.070 IPA, and according to the MrMalty calculator I should have more than enough yeast.
