Agar plates

Has anyone used pre made agar plates for yeast storage
Seems like it could save alot of hassle.

They dry out much quicker than slants. You can melt the agar in a microwave and make your own slants if you have universal tubes or similar.

I haven't tried keeping yeast on plates for long but I don't think it will last for long (weeks to a couple of months)
Slants are good for months and glycerin water mix in freezer is good for a yeast or more.

Thanks ...ive made slants in the past buy I've found them to be alot of hassle I've only ever made them in a pressure cooker...I've seen pre made slopes also.
But maybe theirs a reason I've not seen them used by home brewers.
