Just out of curiosity, what's the difference between apple juice and apple nectar?
Hey Curious, The difference is the "nectar" is made from the pulp, and is approx 30% juice and they add some sugars. (from what I have read on their website at least) This will inevitably give a cloudy cider, but it was one of those mistakes where one buys without reading first! I had already shelled out , it was late, so i thought ahhh f*** it, I'll use it anyway. Walmart was crazy last night! So i did not fancy going back to cchange for the other gear, it's fermenting away nicely at the mo, so i will let you know how it goes.

It was also mixed in with a litre of pure AJ so I hope it'll be o.k.

Nice and warm here all year round so no probs with ferment.

Best regards from a welshy in Mexico!

Hmm,
Tabasco has been pretty much wiped out from what I have seen on the news so far, really had a major hammering. Rivers bursting their banks etc.

But where I am in Mexico city its pretty mild at the mo, temps around 24-26 daily and it gets down to about 11 at night when its "really cold" LOL.

best wishes,

That sounds great that bandit - I keep meaning to try the Oak flavour idea. Did you get the Oak chips from hop & grape? Any recommendations as you're now an oak chip flavour pro? :)

They are Youngs Oak Chips from the local wine making shop. I do use him now again. The last time I went in I asked for some DLS. He looked at me strangely and immediately decided that I didnt need any for making beer so I ended the conversation right there
