Is TC meant to be fizzy?

Mine is.

Just prime with 30ml of apple juice per 500ml, or alternately drink it flat like Scrumpy if you prefer... what with you being recently from Cornwall and all that.

the last time I made cider(10 gallons about 2 years ago) I did 1/2 fizzy and 1/2 flat, the flat went very quickly everyone liked it but it turned out not so many people liked the fizzy and the last bottle went about 3 months ago lol

The few 5 litre batches of nice dry flat TC I made for Chrimbo were drunk - even the stuff that had only been bottled was quaffed.
I've still got several litres of the sweeter fizzy stuff left that was brewed in November, it's nowhere near as popular - even my 14 year old nephew and his mates won't drink it ;)

I know my taste in cider is all screwed up as I was weaned on Bulmers aka Magners ( the only cider we could get in the pubs ) but I have to go for fizzy, not mad fizzy but nicely effervescent or a bit of a sparkle.

goto the "Dorset Steam Fair" and spend a bit of time in one of the cider tents and you will soon change your mind ;) give it a few hours and you will be chewing corn and dancing to the Wurzels :-({|= \:D/ :-({|=

I primed my cider to lager levels (one teaspoon) sugar per 500ml bottle; WAY too fizzy.

"Dorset Steam Fair"
Where and when as Poole is on the possibles list for hoildays this year. SWMBO's brother lives there and they have visited us twice so a return visit is required this year or next.

check there site out for all info http://www.gdsf.co.uk/

even if your not a total steam power nut its worth a trip, the engineering that go's into their machines is a sight to be seen it truly is, not to mention the quality of the cider at this event
