If its a sealed carton it'll already be sterilized so you'll be fine.

Unless I'm missing something here the apple juice will begin to ferment and you could end up with exploding bottles.

I'm not too sure about the Copella, isn't it sold from the chiller ?
If so it may not be pasteurised like the cheap carton apple juice.
Does it have a very long best before date on it? Which would indicate to me that it has been heat treated.
Using apple juice to prime is a good idea but it may be worth investing £1.20 in 2L of basic apple juice from the supermarket to be on the safe side :-k

Ah fair enough. Not sure of the quantities required to get it right though. :(

thanks for all suggestions.snow, sickness, other duties etc. prevented bottling so far.will add 2L copella(fridge fresh and therefore probably not heat treated)+2L long life apple juice from concentrate.it`s my son`s 18th on saturday and he`s "having a few friends over" so the brew will probably not have a chance to go bad or even condition properly.slainte!
