A TC that needs a name

Post by Chill » Wed May 27, 2009 1:17 pm

Well as its a friends 21st birthday coming up i thought id do a nice thing and brew something that will blow his socks off

it consisted of

1ltr red grape juice
1ltr pomegranit juice
1ltre pineaplle and passionfruit juice
2 litres of apple juice

a few large heaped tablespoons of muscovado sugar
a few generous dollops of honey

wanted to add champagne yeast but as my local HBS was out i opted for white wine yeast, god knows why

Its been bubbling away nicly for 5 days now and still going strong
I will probably prime with a lil more applejuice to give it a slight fizz but the only bottles i seem to have scatterd around are screw top wine bottles, will these be fine to bottle in?

I also bought a bottle of youngs wine sweetner to try and take the edge of so it dosent rip the tastebuds out of the mouth, never used it before tho any experiances? it says on the bottle add 5ml per bottle but as im a scientific man i think ill just throw most of the bottle in the demijohn before bottling.

I need a name for this creation aswell but the combination is so strange i cant come up with one, any ideas?

You can't go wrong with "Wrongbow" for any TC really.

Here's a label for you:

if your gonna bottle in wine bottle DO NOT PRIME! trust me. they go of like hand granades, and make a mess of the wall, which makes the boss woman tell you to repaint the wall, which ends up repainting the room, then the house etc etc! you will be finding shards of glass in the most unlikly of places for months if one does go off, and, from a healt and safty perspective  , if one is ready to go and you gently shake it by simpley picking one up... you get the picture!

Thanks for the headsup on the wine bottle thing, defo wont use those i dont want anyway nasty injuries, i also quite like the name of sissy balldrop has a certain ring to it, gonna bottle this soon when i get my hands on some bottles, gonna rack it and stick some beer finings in first to make it clear, this will probably delay carbonation and as the birthday is around 3 weeks away it might not be fully ready intime but meh, aslong as it ruins him

If sissy balldrop doesn't go down well in certain quarters, what about Dead Fruity? Drink enough and you can reverse the order (assuming you can still slur the words) :D
