Ever tried making Perry?

Not sure where you would get the pear juice to begin with - I was thinking of using an electric juicer but judging on the amount of juice you get from a few pears, you would need a few thousand of them...

you could just buy it, its a bit more expensive than asda smart price apple juice, but as you say, you get very little juice from a pear!

yeah its not great.
you can buy concentrated pear juice (made by Meridion, spelling might not quite be like that) from holland and barrat and the like. but its not great.

other ppl have tried it from cartoned pear juice with limited success.

a friend made it from tinned pears and it was quite good so that is the way to go. i used fresh pears and got about 50% lees!

Get your hands on some Kopparberg Perry (they do a great cider too.) I've never tasted anything like it v.modern swedish and very good. Unfortunately I've only found it so far in Wetherspoons.
