Also i have 2 jars(340g) of clear honey that i may use in a turbo cider?
I think it would be more accurate to call the result rocket fuel
I havn't used the honey tonight.I have just put 4 litres of apple juice and a pack of ale yeast(see what it brings) in 1 dj and another with 3 litres of apple juice and 1 litre of cranberry.Think i will wait and see what results i get before messing around with the pineapple or the honey

On my next visit to the HB shop i will pick up some cider yeast and brew another batch of both and see how different they are

I will report back with results as they happen :o

Of the 2 TC's i started the yeast head on the 4 litres of apple juice is far bigger than the yeast head on TC made with 3 litres of apple juice and 1 litre of cranberry juice. The yeasts that i used came from sachets supplied with kits(i always swapped the yeast supplied for safale-04),so im not sure what type of yeasts they are :? .
They both seem to bubbling at the same rate(1 every 5-6 seconds).

Will try to get pics soon

Is it worth letting the TC's chill in my garage for a few days before bottling as there are still a fair amount of particles floating about in the demi-johns?

It will help but move them carefully or you'll make it worse. You could always use beerclear.

Hi, I have never worried about the bits floating.
Someone once posted it was like dandruff. DaaB had a great reply...if it is not smiling at you and doing the back stroke, its probably OK.

I brew 20 litres each week of TC for some thirsty friends (gosh Q you are being polite...OK sponging drunken old farts) .
During the World Cup..can I mention that  , I was brewing 2x20litre's a week and it was still not enough  .

Had 2 great successes over the festive break with a Pomegranate wine that turned out to be a fantastic rose and an ordinary red grape concentrate that I added brandy to before bottling to make a great port style wine.
Looking out the details and will post again.
Cheers, quaffter (Q) 8)

Sounds pretty good actually, what was the recipe :?: 8)
DaaB,
Pomegranate wine.
I used a 100% juice made from concentrates.
Sold in our supermarket.
Contained (so the label claimed) 40% pomegranate,30% red grape,30% white grape juice.
It had a SG of 1.050, so added 92 grams of sugar per litre which gave me a final reading of around 11%. Good enough and not too sweet and not too dry.
Perfect for us and the friends.
I used a Gerwins Beaujolais yeast.
Racked 3 times before bottling and left for 7 months. Dark and coolish place.
It is the best rose wine I have ever made and went down well over the festive break.
Made 10 litres at that time and now have another 15 litres sitting.
You need to keep it to get the best crisp taste, colour and flavour.

What else on the go.

Well...5 lites of sherry, now 7 months old, about to rack for the first time and set off again with a scrape of the old yeast sediment.
Should be ready for next Xmas 2007.

I found in the supermarket, cool section,a mixed fruit juice.
Cherry, strawberry, cranberry, raspberry, blueberry at 50% and mixed with grape juice(think white) 50%.
This was started in November so too early to say how good.
5 litres made and used a burgundy yeast.

A beerless Xmas for us,only factory beer available:-# .
Missed the Nelsons Revenge, lots
Q   8)
