The sulphur smell is no where as strong this morning. :)

I'm getting a bit worried about this probing though, abduction=fun, probing=not fun

Four litres of fruit juice is enough to probe anyone, from the inside out that is.

STC is slowing down on the bubbles in airlock rate. It'll be day 3 tomorrow so i may give it a little rouse to wake things up.
Still has a sulphur smell to it...

I'll test it later on, thanks DaaB.

It may well be done. Float a hydrometer in it if you can, if it's around 1, i'd leave it alone to mature.
If the hydrometer dissolves then it's ready.

It's at 1012. So i don't think it's quite finished. It's still bubbling away albeit the slowest of the three FV's.

Mine tends to finish between 0.997 and 1.004, I'd give it a little while longer.

I'm happy to give it some more 'playtime' in the FV CB. Besides it's breaking in my new 15ltr FV. 8)
The temps in my brewroom(not quite a brewery yet) started at 22C this morning, which is bad. Every previous morning they have been 18-20C and ended at 26C in my FV's. So i uncovered the portable AC unit and hooked it up in the brewroom. We are currently now at 20C in the room but the FV's are at 24C and slowly coming down.

TC has finished at 1006. Been there for two days now. The sample i took this morning tasted good too. 8) Nothing in the airlock for 24hrs now.
Will bottle up tonight. :)

I don't think its a coincidence that Turbo Cider is Abbreviated TC as I am sure it has at least half the bug killing power of TCP. I am drinking some Pineapple TCP right now... er TC I mean. :)

First TC bottled up. 8) I added one carbonation drop per 750ml bottle. Now stored.
It's very cloudy. but then i made it with cloudy 'homestyle' apple juice. Tasted ok. :?

I got another straight on :) Boiled 3 ltr's AJ-only for 15 mins or so this time. Added this and 12ltr's AJ to the 20ltr FV. Gave it a good stir to aerate well. Cooled down in sink to 24C. Sprinkled in 4 tsp of bread yeast. Snapped on lid and fitted airlock.

This is fun :D

Added a sachet of champagne yeast following day as i got some from HBS.
The seal on 'el cheapo'($7.50-£2.50) 20ltr FV isn't that clever actually. So not much airlock activity now.

I think i'll use clear apple juice from now on. The cloudy stuff tastes far better but it doesn't currently look too appetising. Which may prove good if it tastes great but looks pants. 8) I may stick with cloudy untill first tasting, thinking about it after i've typed that...

Hi Martin

You can sort the cloudy juice with a dose of pectolayes added 12 hours before pitching when the juice is at room temp.

Sounds like a lot of bother to me-especially as i have no idea what a 'dose of pectolayes' is. :)

I'll make some decisions once i've tried drinking it. :D
