Hello All,
Just a quick update on the Raspberry Spice TC. Just put it out the shed for 2wks cooling, had a small bottle for a `Taste Test`.
Good hiss on opening, 95% clear, Good fizz on pouring which stayed to the bottom of the glass and it tasted Very Nice! :D
A small bottle of Mango TC 3wks in bottle was calling out to me, so what the Hell, for `Taste Test` only.
Again, good hiss on opening, Fizzy all the way down the glass, Super Clear, and Tasting Very Nice! :D
Bottling my 20Lt Passion Fruit TC tomorrow. Let`s hope for another Good One!
You can`t really go wrong with a TC. That`s why I like playing about with different flavours!

Doing myself a 5gal brew of the raspberry variant. I made a 2gal brew ages back and found it didn't have enough raspberry taste.

7x bottles of syrup - An extra 2 bottles should provide more of a raspberry taste.
2kg sugar - Bog standard white stuff.
GV10 wine yeast "For superior sparkling and rosé wines" - I guess the colour might be like rosé. :)
Southern Brewing

FV 1 (5 gallon): Nothing
FV 2 (5 gallon): Nothing

Commercial: More booze than some local pubs.

Hello CJR,
You are going to have a hell of a Brew there!
My last one was with 2 bottles syrup, NO SUGAR and it still came out at 7.1%
The one before that was with 3 bottles syrup, NO SUGAR and that was 7.6%, both made to 20Lts.
The colour will be like Rose wine. Keep us informed of the SG.
How do you get the e in rose to have that little thing on top of it?

Hey WA,

Alt Gr+e = é

Make sure it's Alt Gr. Regular Alt does bugger all. You can do a full áéíóú. :)

I'll keep yu informed of gravities when pitching it.

áéíóú! Learn something every day! :D =D>

Just bottled my 2 brews following the recipe on the first page of this thread.
When I saw the recipe using 400gr sugar I knew this was going to be more than 5%. Anyway, followed recipe and I got this......
1st Brew, Raspberry Syrup SG 1058 FG 1000 ABV 7.9%
2nd Brew, Raspberry and Lemon Syrup SG1058 FG 1004 ABV 7.4%
Both brewed to 5Lts, Lovely taste, Lovely Pink Colour. Should go down well in two weeks! :D

Just having read this earlier today ,popped down to tesco sand got my self some Polish raspberry juice and brewed into demijohn as follows:
440ml raspberry juice
500ml ocean spray cranberry juice
400g granulated sugar
3 tea bags in a mug of boiling water and then added the tea to the DJ after letting it brew
Teaspoon of yeast nutrient (Wilkos)
Wilko wine yeast
Topped upto to 3" below neck with cold water
Airlock on and wait to see what happens
Assuming the fermentation dies down after a few days will plan to top up with concentrated apple juice
Does this sound like a good brew ? [-o<

Guess what in my rush to get this on whilst simultaneously dealing with the Sunday afternoon BBQ and preparing the salad and trimmings etc. I forgot to do the OG. Who said men cannot multitask, it was some sight. Sanitising prepping measuring , cooking on the BBQ and doing the rest of the tea. , should have asked TOH. To video it. Lol
Do you reckon topping up with AJ will be okay ? It's bubbling away nicely..
Cheers WA

You`re half drunk already! How can you cook and stand up at the same time? Easy Love, Multitasking! MrsAles gone to bed! Blah, Blah, Blah!

been reading a lot of these posts, too many to read, could you swap the water for apple juice to make it more of a raspberry cider or would that not work

It worked for me fatman. Just bottles my second gallon of this. It is a little on the strong side (about 9%) and the OH doesn't really like it, but over ice it is lovely.
