sweet, gonna try this soon then, so i am thinking of using the 5l water bottle u can get frm asda cheapest way i think, then a bottle of this foreign juice topped up with what? 3.5-4l of apple juice, i dnt mind it bee on the strong side, any chance you could post your recipe please Ink if you have not already done so, cheers, think i will do 1 with AJ and one with water and compare the 2

Recipe! Ha! Bit o' this, bit o' that, mate.
I used 2 bottles of the cordial and topped off with just cheap apple juice. It took about 2 weeks to ferment out.
If I am honest, it does lack a bit of body, I haven't quite figured out how to get the right 'feel'.
As I said I have done 2 of these with raspberry, but I have done 2 with blackcurrant too, in my opinion it is nicer.
I used the plastic 5lt bottles to start, but managed to scab some DJs from an elderly relative. If you are adapting a lid to fit an airlock, just make sure it is a good fit or you're waiting your time with it. For the most part you'll know if it is fermenting because it goes off like a rocket, but toward the end of primary it sort of helps if the airlock is working properly so you can see how many bubbles it's chucking out.

Well here's another one on the brew this time comprising of :
440ml polish pure raspberry juice.( By heck does it taste nice!)
1 lt Tesco conc Mango juice
1 lt Tesco mixed forest fruits conc juice
300g granulated sugar
3 tea bags boiled in mug and left to brew for 15 mins and then bags removed and tea added
Teaspoon Wilko yeast nutrient
Wilko Garvin wine yeast
Water to top up to 3 " from neck to allow " madness to happen on first ferm. I hope!"
Remembered to check OG. And it was .......... 1.090.!!!!!

Oh Oh!!----- just 2.5 hours after adding the yeast and this is the status of the brew on the left which I pictured above and started at 5.00pm today methinks tomorrow morning the bath may be splattered? lol

the one on the Right is one I started last week--- different recipe again further back on these posts and had added Apple juice after fermentation died away mid week and its started up again so that's looking okay at present

Checked my 20Lts Guava TC today to break the grated apple crust to let it settle out, the FV lid had been pushed off and muck climbing out the FV! I`ve never seen this before in any of my TC`s!

Cheers WA. Where's your recipe for the brew you are referring to above. guava brew? Cannot seem to find it back on here...might give that a whirl when I can free some vessels and bottles up.

I didn`t put the recipe on because I thought that everyone would know to substitute Raspberry Syrup for whatever you want to Brew!
Guava TC 21Lts
5Lts Rubicon Guava Juice
16Lts Tesco Apple Juice
3 Large Bramley Apples Grated and simmered for 20 mins in 2Lts of Apple Juice
3 Mugs of Tea, 4 bags in each
NO SUGAR
Put everything in the FV, add 3tsp Yeast and 3tsp Yeast Nutrient @ 22deg, give it a good stir.
Put FV in Water Bath @ 22deg for 2 weeks, cover with an old duvet and forget about it.
SG @ 22deg 1040 Should come out at 5.5%
If you want higher ABV, bung in some sugar.
This Brew is smelling Bloody Lovely Mun!
My Mango, Raspberry, Cherry, Passion Fruit TC`s are all Fantastic! They taste Bloody Lovely Too!

thanks for that WA, another question if I decide to bottle my concoctions above into 284ml old Stella bottles. What amount of priming sugar would you recommend , normally for a 500ml bottle I will add 1/2 teaspoon per bottle Any ideas for 284ml ?

Just put this onto brew. OG is approximately ~1.080. Should ferment down to ~1.020. Using (OG - FG) x 131 to get my ABV:
(1.080 - 1.020) x 131 = 7.86%

I've just found the stuff in the original post,in Tesco's,our ASDA doesn't have a Polish bit. £1.29 now.
