made some tc 3 weeks ago when i primed it i put 1teaspoon of normal sugar in per 500ml bottle now left to condition the bottles are expanding a lot .they are crystal clear so i tried one yesterday when i opened the bottle it fizzed like bloody hell, and made the whole bottle very cloudy. i poured some out and left some in the bottle it didnt taste to bad but the stuff left in the bottle fizzed for over an hour!!!!!!!
think i overprimed could i open the bottles let out some of the co2 and add some sweetners to the cider or will that let infections into the bottles?
other questions can i make tc with other fruit juices?
pear, peach, tropical frit mix and what would i get if i use 100% grape juice grape cider or wine
turbo cider problems
Chill the bottles before opening - should help. I use 1-1.5 tsp of priming sugar to no harm; are you sure fermentation had finished before you bottled?
Other fruit juices - as long as there's a sugar content (or you put one in) and what you use is juice or juice from concentrate you should be okay. Juice Drinks have artificial bumpf in that will kill/harm/flavour your fermentation.
My Turbo Purple was mainly grape and ended up tasting like very cheap Albanian wine. Still got well over 11% abv tho!
