i'll give it a go, although I wanted to clear it without putting stuff in.... I'll see how my filtration does & racking does at it.
I'm a bit concerned at the moment, it looks likt the fermentation has stopped, there doesnt seem to be any gas coming off. I'll stir it later i think......
Perry, Pear Cider
Re: Perry, Pear Cider
hello again,
A question or two if I may;
can I filter the brew through muslin into a secondary fv to settle and still have yeast to prime with when i put it into bottles?
Will the muslin contaminate the brew?
cheers..

Re: Perry, Pear Cider
Two weeks after first putting it into the FV, and I have racked it off into another vessel.
Using a muslin bag tied to the end of a length of pipe as a filter I ran the brew down into the second FV
A week after racking off its now been bottled. Superb colour, cloudy, but not bits. yummy.
Now we wait, for about three months......

Just seeing this thread. I think I may just have to give something like this a go...
