How long is short term storage for wine re: polypins

Hi all, not been around for a while... Usual story once you start getting good results you kind of bugger off and dont stick around to re-feed what you have learned back into the community. Anyway...

Anyway for reasons I wont go into I am unable to brew beer until the spring so have done a few wine kits. I did a 6 bottle CC Sav blanc and even though I messed it up I was blown away with how good the end result was. So I have done a big batch over a 90 day "fermentation" if you can call it that.

I have purchased 3x5L polypins to store the bulk of the 23L ish run and ill bottle the rest.

The question:

People say generally online that polypins are good for short-term storage. What would those with experience consider to be short term? are we talking weeks, months, years?

Thanks

I store my wine in a similar thing bag in a box and they are good for 6 months, they would probably last longer if I added more sodium met before bagging but they get drunk within 6 months.

The silver lined bag in a box are slightly different to polypins I think but if you can find out if the material that polypins are made from prevent oxygen permeating through then they'll by good for 6months like crafty said... Also check the seals round the taps are ok...

Generally, wine has better keeping qualities than beer but oxygen is your number one enemy with wine storage - assuming you have taken the usual precautions with sanitation that is...
