yeast strains

I have been looking at the different types of yeast and there are alot!
I haven't found any topic directly on yeast types and what they are good at.
I have found that general purpose wine yeast does not really leave a nice smell on red wine and also kinda make turbo cider taste yeasty.


So the question is what is the best all purpose yeast?

Ok, just found the yeast posts. Think i should lay off the homebrew and get my eyes tested.
