Wilko Forest Fruits Cider
Wilko Forest Fruits Cider
Hey guys, been a while since I've posted anything on here.
I'm thinking about brewing the Wilko Forest Fruits Cider but it's had mixed reviews online so thought I'd ask on here and see if anyone else has tried it and if they have any recommendations for it. It sounds like it could be a nice drink to have in the sun when it finally appears.
Thanks.

E up pal, this brew is fantastic and the smell is something else, don't change anything on this one just make to the packet, wicked summer brew. Made
it original for swmbo and it didn't last long. 2nd one now in bucket. Enjoy

Re: Wilko Forest Fruits Cider
As Craigie said... Ignore the reviews on the Wilko's site... It is a fantastic brew!
Re: Wilko Forest Fruits Cider
Thanks for the reply guys. It's been in the bucket for 5 days now and the smell is fantastic already. It's still bubbling away so I'll leave it alone for a few more days and check again. How long did you guys bottle it for? Is it good to go after a couple of weeks or was there a marked improvement by leaving it for a couple of months?
Re: Wilko Forest Fruits Cider
Put mine in corney pal but was good to go straight away but does slightly get better after 1 week

Re: Wilko Forest Fruits Cider
Hi, just bought one today and cant wait to set it away!
I have a tin of pears Im thinking of adding aswell, what would be the best time to add them, straight away or after a week. I plan on 2 weeks primary then bottling
Cheers

Just put one of these on tonight, should come good for the summer.....hope we have a summer this year
If the smell in the kitchen is anything to go by, this brew is going to be a winner.
Oh and a bit of a bonus, Wilkos selling them at £12 quid at the mo

Planning one of these as my next brew.
How is the finished taste? Sweet or dry?

Re: Wilko Forest Fruits Cider
Anyone dry hopped one of these? Or should I just brew it as per the instructions?

Just put one of the pear cider kits on tonight. I am hoping the smell improves with fermenting and conditioning. It smells like cheap pear drops to me at the moment!
