Recommend Something to Brew

Post by Checky » Wed May 22, 2013 6:59 pm

Bonjour,

I am after something to brew.... I have just emptied a Demi John which had a Red Wine sat in it for 2 years.... - The Red Wine tastes awesome BTW!

So I am just looking for something interesting and summer related to brew in a short amount of time...

Currently I have a fresh Pineapple I wish to put into the brew... I have brewing sugar and Wine yeast although slightly out of date yeast.....

The rest I just plan to pick up tomorrow... So yea... Something interesting Please!

Thanks

Danny

Was thinking more along the lines of a Summer style Turbo Cider with a pineapple twist... 8)

how about one of the orange flavour credit crunch drinks. you could easily add pineapple to that.

I once made Chicha de Jora, the bittering balance came from boiling it with pineapple rinds.

Ended up with just doing the following;

4 litres of Tesco Apple Juice,
1 Litre of Tesco Pineapple Juice
1 Jar of Tesco Honey
Tea for Tannin
And Some Youngs yeast...

Ended up leaving the Fresh Pineapple out... Started to get a little soft....

Pineapple cut into rings dipped into dark rum then whacked
Onto ur griddle pan for a min or so each side, just enough to sear lines onto the pineapple...

I promise you if u haven't already tried it u will hunt me down to thank me for recommending it

On a side note just got a super sweet pineapple from aildi for 69p and it was spectacular!
