DIY Cider press pic

Having seen Frothy's press and having a neighbour that has a lot of apples going spare I decided to build one...

Cost about £35 in total

test pressing was with one apple, achieved more than expected to be honest... going to a wedding in an hour so going to wait for the big press

Got the main plan from here, the Mk II

Probably going to take a bit of an arch out of the top section to fit more blocks and 'cheeses' in

Pressed two gallons of apple juice from around 10 Gallons of apples a week or so ago, added a campden tablet and left for three days uncovered and pitched some S-33 yesterday. Bubbling away nicely... we'll see what happens...

OG was ~ 1.045
