I have been clearing out some cupboards and found 8 cartons (1 litres each) of Rubicon Mango juice, not from concentrate, that has a best before of Jan 2020.
If they still taste ok, I am considering turning some of it into a form of turbo cider, I have read a few things and seen a couple of videos, but can't believe it is as simple as they say.
One video I watched used a mixed tropical fruit juice, so unsure if the recipe is going to be the same for just Mango juice as I can't find anything for that.
Strain juice through a muslin, or similar, to make sure all pulp and other 'bits' are removed.
Pour juice into a bottle.
Add sugar, 27g per 500ml bottle.
Add yeast, 0.2 grams per 500ml bottle.
Shake and leave for 14 days then put in the fridge.
I am going to give it a go, worst that happens is I throw it away.
Anyone else tried this?

Don`t bother with the Bramleys, they don`t do much to the Cider.

Looks good!
I was going to buy some cheap apple juice when I went shopping earlier, but I wasn't sure if 'from concentrate' would be ok.
Now I know it will be, I will get some next time I go.
Thank you

IWS,
Check that there are no Sulphites or Sulphates in the cartons.
They will kill the Yeast.
