Over sweetened

Was trying my artifically sweetened strawberry wine and i think i may have slightly overdone it with the sweetening, is there anyway i can counteract the sweetness say by adding a small amount of citric acid or will that f-up the flavour.
Or should i just get used to drinking it cold which as a rose isn't unusal i suppose.
