When I was there I can't say the run of the mill Japanese lagers were full of flavour but they certainly were very refreshing ice-cold on a steaming hot day.

They have automats for beer in streets and hotels ( vending machines ). I asked will the youth buy some beer and they said no, because it´s illegal.. Well newer seen youth pissed there like in scandinavia. Some salaryman instead hugging lamp posts totally waisted.

Went once in micro brewery in kyoto. It was pretty expensive tour. When it was over, you could taste there beers in tiny plastic cup, like cough medicine in 3 ml each !!

Favorites: Yebisu ( good for sailors and fisherman´s -perfect ! ) dark ones and Kirin stout.
