If you're lucky they'll chuck in a catalogue....Beer Porn!!!!

BTW, someone while back was asking how much Whirlfloc/Protafloc tabs cost in bulk - well I now know. They cost £19 a kilo and the pack size is 2kg. A tablet weighs about 2g so that's a lot of tablets.

I do hope this is not going to cause any of us any problems on this forum

But it looks like Parcel Force have a new system, for charging you import duty if you have an item sent from the US via USPS.

Which has been reported as being a pain in the a**e if you get caught out with it as many others have on another discussion group I am on.

The upshot of it is if you get a parcel from US or similar and it requires customs charge, parcel force, send you a letter and will not deliver the item until this charge has been paid. In the past they would charge you on deliver, but they apparently now no longer do it this way. This can also lead you to needing to pay the charge and chasing up the parcel to have it delivered as the paying system and the delivery system are not tied together so you have to do the leg work for them.
If for some reason you do not get the letter they send the item back or charge you storage.
The item only shows on tracking systems as in transit so you do not know it is awaiting the payment at customs.

Hopefully it wont effect any parcels from more beer(due to there low prices)

But be aware if you order from other US Brew places this may seriously delay the delivery.

They've had that for a while and I've had to use it - it's not that bad. You pay exactly what you would have done before and IIRC you can choose the delivery date. I guess it's to stop postie pocketing the cash.

You can usually tell when you're going to have to pay. If you get away with it then your package will turn up within a fortnight. If they want some cash then you won't see it for three weeks and then a letter will come. Once you get that and pay it's pretty painless. It's pretty much what used to happen except postie used to turn up after three weeks asking for the money.

Hay guys how the F*ck do you order from More Beer!!!

Sorry I'm getting somewhat frustrated, I placed an order a week ago, and it couldn't find my address for a shipping quote, so I clicked the link to continue and a rep will email you with a shipping quote . . . . No Email, so I've just logged in, and there is a quote for my stuff with the shipping on it. Copy the quote to the cart . . . Then I go through the whole bl**dy procedure all over again . . . . Including the 'Click here if you . . .' !!!!!!!

All I want are a bunch of poppets and dip tube o rings.

Well The email did no good :(

However I did a quick bit of fiddling and discovered that if you choose UK as your country it doesn't work, if you choose Engerland (Yeuch!) then it does, so I have a small parcel now winging its way from Sunny CA

Thanks All
