5gallon to 1 gallon conversion

hi
i,ve seen this somewhere before but cant find it.

can someone tell me the best way to convert a 5 Gallon AG recipe to a 1gallon. i dont think its as simple as deviding by 5

i want to have a go at some mini mash brews to see how i go on

Yes it is, although I'd use more than one fifth of the yeast :wink:

DIvide them by five as well - unless you like stupidly bitter beer.

Divide all by five, but chuck in one pack of yeast.... hold on.... or do you mean converting 5 Gallon US to one gallon Imperial? Ugh! :shock:

Divide the volumes and weights by five. Don't divide the times by five. You will still need to mash, sparge and boil for the same amount of time (cooling will be a lot quicker).

Don't divide the temperatures by five. That would be silly
