Putting it in the fridge at 5C for a few days will drop the yeast into a tight cake at the bottom.
I didn't put any gelatine in until the keg, but I had already dropped almost all of the yeast out using this method.
This is my method now and my beers have now become brilliantly clear.

Chill after primary prior to transfer to keg
gelatine in the keg as transferring...
At this time of year in scotland would you even need a fridge
