My fridge that i will be storing the lager in has been freezing water at it's lowest setting along with the cold weather here in scotland at the moment. So i think i will probably be able to get it to freezing at the highest setting in the summer
You could easily fine the lager with gelatine, but you don't need to.
Putting it in the fridge at 5C for a few days will drop the yeast into a tight cake at the bottom.
I didn't put any gelatine in until the keg, but I had already dropped almost all of the yeast out using this method.
This is my method now and my beers have now become brilliantly clear.
kettle finings
Chill after primary prior to transfer to keg
gelatine in the keg as transferring...

At this time of year in scotland would you even need a fridge ;)

cheers

Don't lager it too cold though. I got this when I left it in the fridge:

which as a pain as I wanted to use the yeast cake. Trying to syphon when the 'liquid' is at -1 is a pain too:

It turned out ok in the end though:

and the yeast (S23) got going well in the next brew. The fermenter has a few stretch marks though.
