Could a small percentage of roasted wheat malt work in a mild recipe?

Don't see why not.
Wheat is often used in ale recipes so a small amount in a mild shouldn't hurt.
I'd go for it!

Tigertops brewery in Yorkshire has a Dark Wheat Mild :D
