Thanks Daab. The bubbles are mainly around the heater area. If things have not changed by tomorrow evening I'll bottle it. Does it clear down ok unaided or do you use finings?

Thanks Daab, but i dont know anything about SO4. Last time i brewed, before my 1st (failed) AG a year ago, it was 1979 - 80 i was 18/19 and brewing kits, the best of which i think was an EDME Lager... none of them were particularily memorable tho.

I took another SG this evening it was the same as the 3 previous - 1011. So i dissovled 60g of T&L in half pint of the brew, waited for it to cool and then gently stirred it back into the FV. Waited for a bit, watched end of Liverpool v Arsenal. Then bottled it all, it looks a lot lighter than i thought it would. Just gotta find somewhere warm for it all now.

I will post updates over the next few weeks to let you all know how it goes, wish me luck. :)

Hello everyone,

Just like to give a final update on my 2nd AG. Its about 7 weeks since it was bottled. Tryed it every week to see how it was progressing, it was left 2wks in the warm then moved into the larder.

After 2wks in the warm there was moderate carbonation, still cloudy and had a bit of a 'twang' to it.

Over the last 5wks it has been clearing well, the sparkle has been increasing and the 'twang' decreasing!

Just had 2 pints of it now and Im well happy, the best i've ever brewed thats for sure! still not completely clear but improving all the time as is the taste. :D

Here is a picture of 2 pints taken a week ago, 6wks after bottling. Looks fairly cloudy but you can see through it honestly :D

Thanks everyone for your good advice and posts.

Will have to start thinking of AG No.3 soon as I've only got 3 gallons left!
