Yeh, your right Aleman, not chill...Mmmm!!
Is it a dodgy batch of malt, could it be slack?

There is a thread here that mentions testing for a protein haze (ie a chill haze) using conc Sodium Hydroxide (bleach or antiformin would do)
i have a bottle of basic tesco bleach. what should i do to test this, add a bit of one of these beers to a glass and add a few drops of the bleach? or is it half and half to test it?

I would guess that you will need enough beer to see the haze (Not that it looks to be a problem :=P ), try 100ml in a glass on a white tile looking down on it with it light from one side, then start adding the Caustic 5 ml at a time swirling well each time, if it is protein you should see an effect fairly soon.

Please note that this is a test to confirm that it is a haze and NOT a cure for it

Personally I still think its a yeast haze. try making up 250 ml of gelatine and adding 10ml of it to a pint of cloudy beer and then leave it on the side . . . it should clear in short order

ok didnt see you latest post aleman.

i was in the garage and did 2 tests.

first i used the underside of a white mug. Put a few drops of the beer onto the side of it and then a few drops of iodophor the other side of it.

the two merged and remained the same colour as the iodophor. no other colour apparent.

next.

got a small whiskey glass and half filled with the beer. started to add the bleach solution i had via pipette bit by bit, saw n apparant change. so topped the glass up with bleach (prob wrong lol) and although it did get clearer i assume that was due to a near 50/50 ratio of beer to bleach..

and no, im not now drinking it lol.

although i am drinking the pint of styrian stunner and it is rather delicious.

if you think it is yeast haze, whats the best solution to over come this, not with this beer, but the next brew? ive used safale s-04 yeast for all my brews so far.
