Ice, Ice Baby?

My beer fridge went on a bit of a bender on Monday. I took out a corni I was pressurising with co2 and gave it a shake only to hear the clash of ice crystals inside :shock:

I checked the thermometer in the fridge and it was below 0deg. I turned it down to minimum and left the corni out for 24hrs whilst the temperature stabilised.

It's back in the fridge now at about 4deg but, do you think the ice thing will have caused any problems to the brew :?:

Oh! Don't open the keg and take some ice out. You'd be breaking the law.

Beer tends to seperate when it freezes. I would give it a good roll around to mix it up a bit. I'm sure anyone who makes lagers knows the feeling of wondering why the beer tastes funny, only to discover they were drinking freeze-concentrated alcohol for half of the keg. :out

you'll find that the bottom of the keg will be supremely malty, and the top of the keg will be 'canoe sex'

Hey, what's all this about "canoe Sex"?? Is it that what John Darwin was performing on Anne when his canoe smashed to bits, thus floating him and her to Panama? :wink:
