Back to brewing!!!

Not brewed for ages, been dry of home brew a long time.
I had some hops left over (still in date), purchased 25 kg of lilght Maris Otter and did the following brew today-

50L, O.G. 1042 Light Bitter (my version of Copper Dragon Pippin, with slight mod to hops) 30 Ebu

8.446 kg pale malt - Mash 90min @ 66 C.

Boil 2 hrs - Start First Gold 49 gms; Fuggles 58 gms; Goldings 31 gms
30 mins from end 20 Amarilo; 5 gms Goldings
15 mins from end table spoon Irish moss
Last 2 mins20 gms Amarilo; 5 gms Goldings

Usually I just use First Gold and Amarilo, it will be interesting how it turns out - you never know I might end up using this concoction!!!!

I got a decent efficiency of 88% - Length 50 L, OG 1044.

In the past I have used Safale, however this was not available, and it was suggested that I use Nottingham, this is a first, hopefully it will be ok.
I hope to get a stock of beer going via homebrew.

Cheers
Vaudy

Welcome back :D Looks like a nice beer you've brewed - I've just bought some First Gold hops so you'll have to report back once it's drinkable.

If you want to see what First Gold hops are like, give Badger First Gold a shot. Good stuff, imo.

I must do a clone brew, incidentally.

Welcome back Vaudy!

Nottingham is good yeast, you'll be fine.
