Dry Hopping Quantity

Post by dcq1974 » Thu Nov 13, 2008 2:58 pm

Hi All
I have made several AG recipes now and definately think most brews benefit from dry hopping directly into keg or cornie.

Question for you all: I have always gone with 28-56g (1 - 2 oz) of fresh leaf hops (from vacuum pack) per 5 gallon brew (I like East Kent Goldings) but just wondered if any of you have found an optimum level and which hop type performs best?

Cheers

That's the right level. Goldings, First Gold, Styrians, and most US hops work well. For US varieties, I like Amarillo, Simcoe, Cascade, Centennial.
