ive got my first all grain brew day coming up and ive been planning on doing somthing nice and simple like jims stock bitter, but ive been thinking about uping the grain bill seen as id like to have a stronger brew around 5% but in not too sure how much grain to up it by and how much to up the hops ect, :roll:

5Kg of Maris Otter is what I use religously and usually end up between 4.8% and 5.2%. I'd leave the hop additions as is.

aah ok, i was under the impression that if i were to up the pale malt and crytal malt, that it would unbalance the hop taste, bittering units..ect ..ect...
