Looks like you had a good day.
It went well thanks :) There's a nice krausen on it and it is maintaining a healthy temperature of 18.6C which is surprising because that is 3C higher than the ambient temp in the cellar and I am not currently heating it so all that extra heat is coming from the yeasties :D

The food fair was interesting too. We went today in the end instead of yesterday. Tried some water buffalo burgers which were lovely. Apparently the meat is lower in fat and cholestorol (sp?) than beef.

Tried a pint of Marstons Wicked Witch at our local last night; it was ok but not special. Now their Black Sheep was quite special

All in all, a great weekend.

A bit early I know but the SG has stayed stable for the last couple of days at 1016 so I thought I'd draw off a pint for scientific taste testing tonight

This has to be my best Ale so far by a long shot. Nice deep red colour, lovely hop aroma (slightly fruity I think), slightly sweet and quite malty in the mouth but then a flood of hops when swallowing and breathing out. Yum yum yum :P

Looks like this will be going straight to the cornie rather than secondary as the I've been letting it cool in the cellar for the last day and it's now around 14.5C and pretty bright. Not going to risk spoiling it by adding finings...

Hmmm - probably not  ... I'll have to try and take a photo with a light shining through so the colour is shown.

Well it's all gone
Had the last pint last night; I definitely improves with age too - that last pint was the best.

Really bad news it that I've no beer on tap anymore! - Good job I brewed the stout yesterday. I guess I do have some TC coming along nicely too

Looks good EB. Are you brewing it again?

Here's a sample of mine, not ready yet but more than drinkable and has some life.

Very similar in colour Orfy 8)

I'll definitely keep it on my list of beers to brew again but not planning on doing it again just yet - having said that, not sure what I fancy trying next - Andy's Hefe maybe

I can't take the credit for the Hefe, it's Seveneers (Phils) recipe!
