The outlet and the burner on the bottom is not a problem due to the burner being off centre, the flames do not actually play on the outlet pipe, therefore it does not get any hotter than the bottom (rest of the boiler).
This is confirmed at the cleaning stage in that the outlet pipe is as clean as the rest of the boiler.
