I've looked at several clone recipes for Hobgoblin, on JHBF and elsewhere on the web and it does seem that there is quite a variation.
The grain types seem fairly consistent, albeit the ratios vary. However there is a lot of variation in the type and ratio of hops used, together with the type of yeast.
In my previous searching of the web I came across this item, just to further confuse me...
I guess at the end of the day it's a case of tweaking which ever recipe you use until satisfied. I must say that the recipe you posted does sound more akin to the description on the Wychwood Brewery website.
Again, hope it turns out OK. I shall follow this thread with interest.
