Hi All
Can you understand this!
Been to J. D. Wetherspoons today and had to drink ale which had been chilled between, (wait for it), 1 and 3 degrees C.
What do you think hapens, yeah, CHILL HAZE!!.
Now this must be a nationwide thing on there behalf but 'I FOR ONE' do NOT!! want my beer served 'WELL UNDER TEMPERATURE'!!.
To round this off I had a lovely pint of York I.P.A. but it was a shame it had to be spoilt by the temps'.
Hope things will change or they won't get my custum again!!!.

Did you complain ? My local Wetherspoons serves ale at a proper temp and always has a good selection at a low price.
Dan!

There does seem to be a trend for superchilling everything, although ale is one thing that really doesn't need to be rediculously cold and fizzy to disguise any uncomplicated flavours...

You should have complained, as Andy has already suggested.

Shame - it's nice that Wetherspoons has morals to the end that they stock an excellent range of bottled beers (might have been a "beers of the world festival they had") and often local brews on pump, unlike many chains who whore themselves out completely to the big breweries.
best to speak to the manager

Not around here - it also said in their magazine when they introduced this for lager & wine that they would still serve beer at its right temp (imo they do serve it a little too cool but nowhere near 3c).

Biggy, whereabouts in Brissle are you? I used to live in Redland.

Yeah....and? That's what I do if it's very cold out, as my beer is stored at ambient temperature in my unheated shed. 20 secs at full power if it's merely very cold. 30 secs if it's very very cold. Sorts it out a treat!
