Just been sorting out what to make tomorrow,
decided on trying out one of the clones from the recipe section.

Just been doing my maths
I'm going to use 7.5 gal water in the mash
maris otter 6075g
crystal 1162g
Boil 90min
fuggles 50g
goldings 50g
15 mins before end
fuggles 7g
goldings 7g
With the sparge water I usually end up with about 8-8.5g of wort.
I'm a bit worried about using so much crstal malt, I don't usually add so much. What do you think?

Everything seemed to go ok
The final gravity was 1053, a bit higher than I thought it would be.
I did get to try out my new homemade filter see below, it worked well, I got a clear wort after mashing and boiling, something I've never managed.
