Brewday - Saturday 10th

Post by Calum » Fri Mar 09, 2007 10:52 pm

I'm good to brew tomorrow morning. I'll start as soon as the kids decide its not bedtime anymore.

I've been working on a brew spreadsheet that works everything out for me (thanks to Daab, Bitter Dave and Jim for information earlier that contributed to the spreadsheet) and here is what is looks like. A nice pale hoppy beer that will make spring taste nicer.

As usual, comments greatly appreciated.

Looking good Calum 8)
If I was going to be an 4rse I'd say that the flaked Maize belongs in the adjuncts table

I did toil, briefly, over that.

I've actually never used flaiked maize before but as I bought a half kilo a couple of months ago I thought I would give it a go (albeit in a rather minor role).

The intention is to get the lookup tables sorted out over time. I can shuffle them around till my hearts content once I am happy that the results are accurate. The fun bit has been inputting my old brews into the spreadsheet and finding out what the BU's and efficiencies were. 8)

Hope it goes well, I'll be joining you in the Saturday brew club - got a session bitter recipe planned.

Well I ended up with very nearly 23 litres 1041 which gave me an efficiency of 73.4 which I am pleased with. :D
