Can this be done?

Post by Chappie519 » Wed Mar 14, 2007 3:31 pm

Hi, i bottled a lager a couple of weeks ago and decided to have a taste last night as it had cleared beautifully. Although i think it may have been bottled too soon after fementation as when i opened the top it shot out like a fountain  and all the sediment had been disturbed thus leaving a very cloudy 3 quarter pint of lager (which tasted alright).

Can the bottles be opened and the lager poured into a keg to try and reduce the carbonation or would it suffer an airborn infection in doing this?

Cheers

Well i had two and they both did the same. So would i take the caps right off and then cover with tea towel or only take them partially off?

Cheers

This is a classic for turbo cider. I gave some to a friend and one re-decorated his living room  best to make sure it's fermented right out before bottling ~ 1.010
