Thats me ready for All Grain
The spend can be kept to a minimum, unfortunatly you endup with a unheaththy addiction to eBay, one or two Burco's £20 -£35, a cool box from Wilco's for the mash tun, some plastic plumbing pipe & assorted bits. , £20 for 15m of microbore for the imersion chiller
But the gatthering of the kit is part of the fun, well it is for me
Good luck

What i must admit - school boy error - is that in all the boiled, liquid malt or all grain brews i have done to date - maybe 6-7 i have only added Irish Moss once or twice max- the same bag is ontop the fridge in the kitchen.
All the brews have cleared well & were very drinkable
Any thoughts from the forum?
Does Irish Moss do anything?

I went a bit daft and spent over £400
That's Despite making my own mashtun and contents(coolbox ) using Daabs instruction and making the Twin Chiller using Gurgeh's thread. I bought 2 Boilers..from H & G...but the biggest expense was buying 2 x Corni's with regulators!!
However, whilst the Corni's are expensive..I must admit they are fantastic and well worth the money!!!

It cost me about £170 to get started with the H&G 10G kit, plus IC and extra bits and pieces. I picked up three kegs and some buckets for a tenner from ebay, and had a King Keg already from my Wherry kit attempt.
Then I started getting cornies - which was expensive. 6 at £30 each, plus a three way regulator. Pub gas was free though.
Then some erlenmeyer flasks and a stir plate off eBay (£45 all in), then a nordic Optical Thermobox, plus assorted sundries...
I must be on the wrong side of £500 now.
However - I've made over 400 pints of quality beer so far, so even including ingredients, i'm well ahead of the game already, and it's all gravy from now on!
