Fortunately the two internet suppliers I trade with are very reliable. One is always next day delivery (if ordered before noon) the other takes two days but at least they are consistent.
I have the urge to brew but think I will resist it this weekend. Although I do have the goods laying around for both a Scottish and a Brown . . .
THe local homebrew shop is dire. The only thing worse than his prices would be his service.

ive always found H&G slow but if ive told them what day i'm brewing they have always got it there in time. one morning i hadnt recieved the grain but had enough faith to start boiling up the liquor , sure enough as it hit temp the doorbell rang and there it was. leyland home brew have more stuff but wont accept orders under £10 which is a touch arrogant and annoying i thought. I have "pop's" hom ebrew shop near me and thats very good but he still has to order a lot f stuff in if you want it.

In hindsight that would have been the thing to do. I thought an entire working week would have been enough time so didn't give it a second thought.

yeah youd think so wouldnt you, but it think theyve got this weird system where they do all the orders on one day or something unless you ask for it by a certain date. its not very good anyhow

Patsy (lovely lady!) processes the orders a few times a day.
She processes them in a queue.
However, as others have said, she prioritises them if you tell her when you're brewing.
She's also very willing to read the destructions for you.

yes she is good, a few times she tried to find something out for me . always cheerful to deal with its just a shame they cant get their orders out quicker , although as ive said if you say you need it by a certain date it always arrives on time.
