You Irish guys want to get together and buy in bulk, I'm sure you'd save a packet

Do you know something I don't about Muntons?

I live quite close to them in Stowmarket Suffolk, I approached them a while back & they said they wouldn't sell direct to the public, only to retailers.

I used to buy from Muntons at Kircaldy & sometimes if they never had what i needed they got it sent up from stowmarket.Sadly Muntons at Kircaldy has shut down so i will need to go elsewhere. Give them a phone back & tell them you were a customer at Muntons Kirkaldy before it shut it's worth a try. They may be more willing to sell if you buy a bulk purchase i buy a years supply uncrushed

What about smaller packages? Say, up to 6Kgs, or 10Kgs.

Charles Farams sell Muntons malt, DCL yeasts, Murphys chemicals...and hops obviously. Maybe they're worth a shot if you want a fair bit

http://www.wellhopped.co.uk/Product.

EDIT: I just looked up in my files that last time I asked Charles Farams they said they did Warminster Maris Otter (crushed) for £12.70 a sack (+VAT??).

Delivery (UK Mainland):

NORMAL DELIVERY RATES (24 AND 48 HOURS)

0-25KG £9.94 PER CONSIGNMENT
26-60KG £0.40 PER KG
61-140KG £0.39 PER KG
141-280KG £0.29 PER KG

They don't have a minimum order other than they don't split packs.

Ive just been on to the post office and northern Ireland is classed as the UK so I could post up to 20Kg (parcel weight) for about £14.

Hello all, my H.B.S. is a 40 mile round trip and with work getting in the way I find it easier to buy on-line.
I've just received an order from Barley Bottom and even with the carriage on 30kgs. saved an amazing £60 on the grain and hops had I bought them from a shop. Less time driving= more time to brew it and drink it.
Happy days.
