Clearing wheat-heavy beer

Other than oat husks the other thing I found with wheats is that a false bottom mash tun worked very. Much better than a stainless steel braid - which was hopeless.

That makes sense, what with the increased surface area. A mashtun with hack-sawed copper tubing works great, too.

Or BIAB. With an artificial filter bed (of any sort) fine flours become much less of a problem.

I now step-mash wheat beers in a LIDL boiler/mashtun with above filter (shown upside down).
I include a 40C step primarily to break down gums.

Quess what - after all that it went clear (might be this lovely cold we've had) and I took the barrel on a trip out with the boys.

Their first taste of homebrew from me and they all put in orders for their birthday/wedding presents!
