Hi David,

Two points:- The volume is measured hot, so shrinkage doth not apply, and the second point is that I'm boiling outside. On reflection after a bit of research (my brewing records) - my boiler has a loss of about 12L over 90 mins, so 8L per hour for 5.4kw, so about 4.4L per 3KW - that's more in the ball park, is it not, considering that for a 25L post boil I'm starting at about 37-38L. It probably would be 5L/hour/3kw were it not for the boiler filling up when it rains ;)
